We begin designing a customized program tailored to your specific needs and help you set realistic and achievable goals
The initial visit is all about getting to know YOU! We will discuss your medical history, lifestyle, relationship with food, and above all else health goals.
Send us an inquiry about your health goals, and we'll see if we're the right fit. We'll send over some forms, and you'll get to book your first visit.
During your first visit, we will review your medical history, health goals, and assess your current dietary habits. You will receive education on basic nutrition principles and their relevance to your goals. We will collaborate to set 1-2 goals based around nutritional/lifestyle modifications and discuss a follow-up plan.
*If appropriate, we will also measure body composition using our in office Tanita scale. A basic meal plan may be provided if requested. However, due to the time limitations of this initial encounter, we may use future sessions to customize a meal plan more personalized to you.
Between visits, it is normal to have breakthroughs, encounter barriers, and come up with questions. Follow up sessions a great way to address all of this! We will celebrate your achievements and collaborate on ways to overcome challenges.
This will also give us the opportunity to fine tune goals and recommendations. You will leave feeling empowered and motivated!
*If working on weight management, we will use the Tanita scale to mark progress.
Have you ever looked at lab results and wondered , "What does this all mean?" Or "Is there anything I can do to improve these numbers?" We're here to help!
During this 30-minute visit, we review and interpret nutrition related lab markers and provide customized recommendations based on your results.
A Tanita scale is a type of digital scale that measures various body composition metrics beyond weight, such as body fat percentage, muscle mass, and hydration levels, providing a more comprehensive assessment of overall health and fitness. Please note: You will need to remove your shoes and socks to use this device.
*If you have an implanted medical device such as a Pacemaker or an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD), you should not use a Tanita Body Composition Monitor or any Scale that uses BIA technology to obtain readings.
